Beginning I
Units of study include: basic theatre vocabulary, actor's body, pantomime, actor's voice, Laban efforts, characterization, script analysis, scene work, theatre history (Ancient Greek and Ancient Rome), Greek chorus inspired performance, monologues, improvisation
Intermediate II
Units include: improvisation, script writing, lip sync performances, acting theory: Stanislavsky and Uta Hagen, scene work, theatre history (medieval, renaissance, Elizabethan), Shakespeare performances


Honors III/IV (Theatre Ensemble)
The Honors Theatre Ensemble (HTE) classes are based in performance. By creating, performing, analyzing, and critiquing dramatic performances, students develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of personal issues, creativity, spontaneity, and teamwork.
HTE performs plays for the school. Students who wish to take HTE for honors credit must be accepted.
